During an Akashic Record Consultation with Jen, your Akashic Records are accessed with the use of a sacred invocation. Once the invocation has been spoken, your Records are accessible during the time of the Reading. You might experience a sense of peace or love when your Records are accessed.

An Akashic Record Consultation is based entirely on your questions. The answers will be provided by Jen as she channels them from the Keepers of your Records. Often, people describe the experience as having a conversation with their Spirit Guides, with Jen speaking on Their behalf.

At the end of the Consultation, Jen will close your Records using another sacred prayer. After your Records have been closed, they are no longer accessible to Jen, or anyone else. They are once again held safely by the Keepers or Guardians of your Akashic Records.

Your Akashic Records are multi-dimensional and infinite, and so they are much more immense than any human mind can conceive. In other words, your soul is profoundly magical and far-reaching! The person giving a Consultation cannot see the entirety of your Records, so your questions are needed to provide doorways for the channeler to to receive any information. This also enables you to determine which topics you want to address during your Consultation.

Is there a "right" or "wrong" way to state my questions for an Akashic Record Consultation?

While there is no right or wrong way to phrase your questions, there are some guidelines for phrasing your questions in ways that can help you receive the information you are looking for.

Are there any subjects that are forbidden to be asked about in the Akashic Records?

There are no forbidden subjects. Anything that has anything to do with you can be asked about in your Akashic Records. The only limitation in terms of what you can ask is that you cannot access the Akashic Records of another person without their permission, so any information you receive about relationships will include what is held in your Records about that person.

Can I ask about the future during an Akashic Record Consultation?

Yes, you can ask about and get a great deal of information about the future from the Akashic Records. One important parameter here is that the Akashic Records cannot predict what will occur in the future with certainty. This is because you have free will to choose what will unfold in the future. Information about the future will come in the form of potentials and possibilities, which can often give you the information you need to move forward in making choices that will lead to your desired conclusions.

Can I ask a direct question without prefacing it with background information? How much or how little information should I include with my questions?

Yes. In fact, it's better if you avoid prefacing your questions with background information. Your Akashic Records are part of you, so the information will come from the perspective of the Keepers of your Records, or Spirit Guides. They know you far better than anyone! You can ask questions as if you are speaking with your best friend or with one of your Angels.

Jen, or another channel, simply needs to know the subject, object, and inquiry. For example, you could ask, “Why do I feel so bothered by John Smith?” There is no need to explain who he is, or to explain why you think you feel bothered. The most important thing to be clear about in your questions is to know exactly what you want to know. If you are wondering why John Smith is in your life, ask why he is in your life. If you want to know how to feel less bothered by him, ask how you can feel less bothered by him.

What does it mean when someone gets different answers to the same question in two different sessions, either from the same channeler or from two different channelers?

There are several possible reasons depending on your situation. One is that there could be a change in your intention as you ask during the two separate sessions. For instance, if the first time you ask about John Smith, you are in a conflict with him and want to win, you will get information about how to engage with him in a way that works best for you. If the next time you ask, you really are tired of the whole thing and just want to get him out of your life, you will get information about how to disengage from the situation and release him from your life. Either way, you might ask why he is bothering you, but your engagement in the process with him leads you to have a different intention behind your question.

The second possible dynamic involves the fact that our paths do change over time, and so does the information regarding our paths. Even if you asked precisely the same question, your soul's decisions over time may have changed the answer. One day, you might have a soul contract to learn something from John Smith; the next day you may have determined that you can learn this thing somewhere else and you rewrite the contract.

The third and most important dynamic is the nature of channeling. Remember that anytime you are using a channeler like Jen to receive information, that channeler receives and interprets the information through their own mental, emotional, and energetic filters. It is the responsibility of the channeler to be as clear as possible, but of course the information is being interpreted in a particular way because it comes through that person's mind as opposed to someone else’s.

Always be sure to run the information through your own filters of discernment. If something does not ring true for you, then consider letting it go or seeing it in a different perspective. No channelers are perfect at this, and anyone who claims to be is probably putting far too much pressure on themselves to do the impossible (and on you to believe them)! It is vital that you retain your own thinking and use your own judgment as to what feels right to you throughout the process of receiving information from Spirit.

How is an Akashic Record Consultation similar to or different from a psychic reading?

There are many different kinds of psychic readings and, in some ways, an Akashic Record Consultation can be considered a type of psychic reading. The strongest similarity is the fact that both Akashic Record Consultations and psychic readings offer channeled information from Spirit.

Because the Akashic Records contain all the information in the Universe, they can be seen as the source for any information that is gained from a psychic reading or any other intuitive or spiritual practice. When we receive guidance from prayer, meditation, or from a psychic or intuitive healer, the information comes from the Akashic Records.

One of the ways an Akashic Record Consultation can be different from a psychic reading is that it is based on your questions. There are some kinds of psychic readings that draw information from your aura, so that rather than opening your entire Records, the psychic simply "views" what your energy field is expressing at the time of the Reading. This allows a psychic reader to gain information even though you have not asked a question.

No one can access your personal Akashic Records without your permission. Part of the contract you initiate when you become a human being is to have your Records kept safe by your Spirit Guides. Your Akashic Records are kept by a group of guides known as Guardians or Keepers. If you imagine your Akashic Records as a circle that overlaps the circles of those people, places, events, and objects that you are connected with, some of the information in your Akashic Records is shared in these relationships. The Keepers of your Akashic Records maintain the boundaries between your Records and others', and help determine what will be shared.

When a person claims to have accessed your Akashic Records without your permission, often what they have done is "viewed" some of the information that your energy field is "showing" or expressing. If you have ever experienced having someone who claims to be clairvoyant approach you with information, they are often "viewing" some of your spiritual information that is in your energy field. It can be likened to clothing -- anyone with the right ability can see that you are wearing a red shirt, but no one can know why you are wearing it or how it will affect you unless you choose to that information with them. The Keepers of your Akashic Records very wisely and effectively determine what can be "shown" at any time, and to whom. You can give them direction in this through your intentions.

How can I tell if an Akashic Record Consultation is accurate? How much faith should I place in the information I receive from an Akashic Consultation, or any channeled Reading?

This is such a wonderful question and such an important one to be addressed! It is always your responsibility to follow you own intuition and truth when it comes to working with channeled information. If a channeler doesn't "feel right" to you, you are always free to step away from working with them. There is no one spiritual guide or teacher who has what you need. The beauty of working with Spirit is that you will always get what you need. You can trust that when you close one door, a better one will open!

Along the same lines, use your own discernment as you listen to the words offered during a Consultation. Every channeler is, at some level, a human being with their own personal perspective and filter for information as it comes into her or his mind. If a channeler tends to offer the information with critical or judgmental words such as "can't," "should," or "shouldn't," or if the message is offered in a way intended to evoke guilt or fear, you might consider that the perception of the channeler may be interfering with the clarity of the message. Information from spiritual sources exists without judgment because it is generated and contained in the energy of Love. Listen to your own intuition as you receive channeled messages, and if you feel uncomfortable, trust your personal guidance and find another source!

Just as every channeler has a personal filter for information, so does every listener. It is important to acknowledge your own reactions to information, and to notice when you are only hearing things you want to hear, or resisting the things you do not want to deal with in your life.

Another guideline for receiving information from the Akashic Records is to remember that our world is constantly changing, in part because each person continues to make different choices that re-write our realities. This means that as long as we have free will (which is as long as we are here), information that is applicable today could have a different meaning tomorrow. This is the magic and the fun of living as a human being! In this light, spiritual guidance does not exist to provide directions for living, but to give alternative perspectives so that we can make more informed, more enlightened choices as we navigate our personal spiritual journeys!

An Akashic Record Consultation is simply a tool to help you access your Higher Self. Just as with other tools such as prayer and meditation, you may choose to use it often, occasionally, or only once in order to get the information you need to make your next steps. Jen recommends that you allow a period of four to six weeks between Consultations in order to allow the information you receive to be integrated. Beyond this guideline, you have the choice to schedule an Akashic Record Consultation whenever it is appropriate for you.

Often, people who receive several Consultations over a period of time way they find an increased intuitive knowing in their daily lives. Eventually, these people learn to rely on their own Divine Knowing over any other form of knowledge, and they find that Consultations become less necessary or less interesting. One of Jen's intentions in offering Akashic Record Consultations is that it will lead more people to develop this trust in their own knowing and their own Divine Nature!
